Obituary of Sheri Lee Young

We regretfully announce the passing of Sheri Lee Young of Floodwood on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Sheri passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 55.

Sheri was the 5th child born to Fredrick and JoAnn Young. Born into a large family, Sheri was passionate about family connection. She went on to have four children of her own, Meka’Xai, Joe, Robyn, and Amanda.

Our mother, Sheri, was one of the strongest women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family. Sheri was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all to her family. She made an impact everywhere she went. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Sheri was predeceased by her father, Fredrick; her mother, JoAnn; and her son, Meka. She is survived by her three children, Joe, Robyn, and Amanda (Marquist); her 6 grandchildren, Connor, Linda, Iris, Joshua, Malachi and Michael; her siblings, Debbie (Wayne), Lynn, Laurie, Kerrie, Fred Jr (Shelly), Chuck (Cheryl), Bob (Julie), Bryce, Ethan, and Collin; as well as countless nieces, nephews, and friends.

Sheri’s children would like to thank everyone who has shared memories and kind words during this heartbreaking time.
