My deepest sympathy to Beatrice’s family and friends. I’ll never forget visits with Jonas and Beatrice (with my parents Emil and Esther Kurki). May your fond memories assist you during this difficult time. ❤️

We will miss Auntie Beatrice so very much but know that she is reunited once again with her family in Heaven. Her great-nieces will always remember the warm smile and the candy drawer that was open whenever they visited. Please know we are thinking of you all at this time and when this pandemic is under better control, we will have warm hugs for you all.

To all of the Heikkila family, my sister Carol already wrote all about our close relationships with all of the members of the Heikkila family and I would like to add that Beatrice was really like our second mother. If we needed correction, she would not hesitate to correct us but was always there for us during both joyful and sad times. Beatrice, Jonas and the “kids” were so much a part of our lives and all of us feel blessed to have them as friends

Dearest Heikkila family. The memories of your Mom are so many for my family. Beatrice and Jonas were a wonderful part of our lives as they were Dad and Mom’s best friends. Growing up I don’t think a day or two went by that my family was either at their house or you were at ours. The coffee was always on and both our Moms were great bakers. Now they are gone and we can know they are at peace and cherish the memories of lives lived based on faith and love of family being the most important lesson they taught us. My deepest sympathy on your loss and love and hugs to the “Heikkila Kids”. Carol Stone Forse and family.

Thank you Carol. I have so many memories that include your family. I especially loved when your mom would camp with the grandkids at “Nine Pine” as she called it. She would make us donuts. She always showed interest in youth which was also wonderful. I think my love of walking came from your mom. Much love to you all. Liz Also, Helen is the one who gave me the nickname Lizzy Lou!

I'm seeing our mothers together again, giggling together in Heaven and so happy to see each other! They would be giggling over something that no one else would understand! How many days of their lives do you think they ever went without talking to each other..not many! And the phones weren't like now where you can roam around, they were pretty much tethered to how long those cords could stretch.
I'm remembering all the visiting our families did back and forth, and invariably we would be begging to be able to stay overnight. Sometimes in the car on the way over, we'd get the lecture that "nobody is staying anywhere tonight"; it didn't always work did it?
One of my favorite things is a plaque that your mom gave mine that went something like "It takes a long time to grow an old friend!" They grew old together, which was such a blessing!
Our condolences to you all. We will all miss her.
