It's amazing how when you start to actually think about someone how easily memories start to come back. Every Sunday on our ritual visit to my grandparents home in Wright, I always made it a point to look at the house of my Godparents, thinking I might see them in that big'ol yard. I remember staircases! Wow, such steep staircases, either the ones going upstairs or down to the basement. I can recall so vividly going to the cabin during the summer for what seemed like huge gatherings and great food and FISHING! We would go visit Walt and Katherine, eat a huge lunch, go immediatly to Wilbert and Elvina's and it didn't matter that we had just ate, Elvina would lay out a full spread to do it all over again, and it would be so good. When I was first explained the idea of what a Godparent is, I thought then and still do to this day how importnat and special that is. Wilbert and Elvina will always hold a special place in my heart not just as my aunt and uncle, but as people who would always be there for me; and I miss them dearly.
Condolences to my Soukkala cousins,
Wade

Here’s a couple of memories I have of your mom. When we were young we spent a lot of time at your house. If we were good we could stay up and watch Tarzan. When we were done playing we had to make sure all the toys were put away because your mom threatened to throw them in the wood stove. Your mom liked a clean house. She will be sadly missed by all. Love to you all
Brenda
