Royce and Roger were good buddies. They stayed together in the Cities and again in Duluth when working on construction. They also shared many drinking times. I would bet they are with Dolly and Evie having a beer as I write this. A memory that has never faded is seeing Jimmy Aho and Royce driving their matching Luv pickups in the ditch by Eino Aho's driveway. I do not remember who won, but it was a good show and probably a better hangover the next day and the Luvs just did not rate four-wheel drive! To the family--enjoy the good memories; they are gold!

To the family who mourn, I extend condolences. Royce did the cement work on our house in 1975. He was a good kind man.

So sorry for the passing of uncle Royce. I was hoping to get a chance to visit with him after returning to Minnesota. Lots of great memories. One I remember when his brother and dad came “up north” to visit, his dad brought the nieces rainbow colored heart shaped necklaces, uncle Royce just beamed (and of course we were grateful). Another memory was when he & Evie were visiting at the resort and we all were jumping rope, Royce, Evie, my mom & dad and all us kids (that alone was funny), but the adults decided to run to Wolf Lake for adult beverages, Evie & my mom were carded and asked what they were doing with the old guys. They had a good laugh. Uncle Royce was always kind and sweet, southern gentleman.
I spoke with both him & Donna on the phone a few times and always enjoyed the chat!
Uncle Royce you will be missed but not forgotten.
Hugs and prayers to the family during the difficult days ahead.
