Obituary of Lois M Smith

Lois Marie Smith, 86, of Cloquet entered into eternal life on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in her home.  Lois was born on March 8, 1936 in Cloquet, the daughter of Bernard and Grace Larson. 

She married Sherman Smith on November 28, 1953. Lois held many jobs but her most favorites were raising her six children and creating wonderful gardens in her yard. She was employed at several places but retired from Potlatch on July 31, 1997. Lois loved spending with her family and friends daily. She had an infectious personality that developed many close friendships with many different people that have lasted decades. Lois was very proud and supportive of her children…. She left too soon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Dale Smith; daughter, Memorie “Nonie”Smith; and son, Stuart Smith

Lois is survived by her son, Steve (Paula) Smith; son, Bradley (companion Brenda) Smith; daughters, Paula Kittleson and Tracie Little; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren; her sister, Elaine Rilea and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, October 8, 2022 in Atkins Northland Funeral Home Chapel, 801 14th Street, Cloquet.  A luncheon will follow the funeral in the fireside room of the funeral home.  Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.  To sign the guest book and leave an online tribute, see www.atkinsnorthlandfuneralhome.com
