My sincerest sympathy to the whole family on Char's passing. I have fond memories of going over wall paper ideas with her many years ago. She always had such good ideas, knew where the current color trends were heading and could help me find something suitable for our 1919 vintage house. I missed her at church once her hearing and health made it so she could not enjoy the services. I am sorry that I was not in town for the visitation, but know that you have my best wishes as you continue to remember and celebrate her life.

I have fond memories of both your parents. They smiled easily, made people feel uniquely special, had a close relationship, and were a large part of the community with their paint & glass business. My parents Lee & Marlene Engen were their best friends for years so I saw your parents often.
Our families even went down the Apple River together and on a fishing trip. We went regularly to Rudy's after church, & your dad would make us laugh. He knew that I would always order broasted chicken with white meat & order for me. You parents were so much fun! I was shy when I was little. Your Mom used to make me feel very special like I wasn't shy which was encouraging. I saw her a lot because my Mom Marlene Engen and her were best friends. Our families went on a weekend ski trip together once a year and a weekend trip to Minneapolis too. You stayed at the Thunderbird. They left us together on New Year's Eve at our house with a lot of snacks. It is all coming back.

Jeff, Tom and Mark,
As next door neighbors to your family, I remember your mom well.
I remember whenever I’d see her she was smiling.
