Obituary of Dorothy Elizabeth Anderson

Dorothy Elizabeth Anderson ,89, of Cloquet died peacefully September 20, 2023 in Inter-Faith Care Center, Carlton, MN. She was born August 9, 1934 in Biwabik, MN to Arthur and Selma Sundstrom. She married Hartley Anderson in July 20, 1992.

Dorothy worked as a secretary for Lake Region in Chaska, MN. She also worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Moore at Lakeland Medical. She enjoyed playing her dulcimer, harmonica, and accordion for everyone. She loved spending time with family and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hartley; sons, Terry VanNispen, Donny VanNispen; stepson, Scott Anderson; great-grandson, Braedon Clark; brother, Roy Sunstrom; sister, Ruthie Stuberud.

Dorothy will be missed by her daughters, Penny (Jim) Kult, Cindy (Bruce) Laurila; son, Randy (Nancy) VanNispen; stepdaughters, Brenda (Dan) Peterson, Lisa Anderson; step-son, Curt (Kris) Anderson; sister, Sharron Flannery; grandchildren, great- grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to give a special thank you to St. Croix Hospice and Evergreen Knoll for the love and compassionate care they provided Dorothy.

Visitation: 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14^th St, Cloquet. A luncheon will follow the service.
