Obituary of Doris Marian Wayrynen

Doris Wayrynen, age 88, of McGregor passed away on November 6, 2023 at Aitkin Health Services. She was born August 5, 1935 to Eino and Amanda (Siiro) Wayrynen in Rice River Township. After graduating from McGregor High School she spent a short time working in Minneapolis. She then moved to San Jose, California to be closer to her two sisters and a brother. Doris was employed in the insurance industry for about 35 years. She then moved to Canby, Oregon where she retired. Doris moved back to McGregor then moved to Cloquet to be closer to her younger sister.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene, Roy and Reino; and sister, Norma Lima.

Doris is survived by her sisters, Lorraine O’Connor of Oregon City, Oregon and Barbara Wayrynen of Cloquet, Minnesota. She was affectionately known as DoDo by her many nieces and nephews.
