Obituary of Paul William Ohlrogge

Paul William Ohlrogge

(devoted husband, father, and follower of Christ)

Paul William Ohlrogge was born on October 25^th, 1951 in Perham, MN. His parents were the late Virgil William and Lois Irene (Schumacher) Ohlrogge.

Paul attended St. John’s Lutheran Parochial School and Henning High School. Upon the death of his father, Paul, his mother and brothers continued working the family dairy farm. Paul absolutely loved the planting, harvesting and working the farm machinery.

Paul left the farm to attend Bible School in Wisconsin where he met Peggy. On August 2^nd, 1980, Paul was united in marriage to Peggy Bush at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cloquet, MN.

In March of 1994 Paul and Peggy were blessed by God, with the adoption of their daughter Rachel.

Paul was employed by St. Louis County as a heavy equipment operator for 27 years, where he received a certificate of merit upon his retirement.

Paul was known as “Mr. Fix It” to his family and friends. They knew who to call to get any job done. He had a sense of humor that could put a smile on anyone’s face. He loved golfing, being outdoors, music, and having the greenest grass in town. He was a great husband and loving father.

On November 12, 2023, Paul went home to be with the Lord at 72 years of age. He will be greatly missed and was deeply loved by his family and friends.

Preceding Paul in death, were his parents Virgil, Lois and his brother Michael.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Peggy; daughter, Rachel (Andrew); brother, Monte (Jodi); sister-in-law, Kim; a loving niece, Tricia; nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Everyone is encouraged to wear plaid/flannel.

Visitation: Noon until the funeral service begins at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 25^th, 2023 at Barnum Community United Methodist Church, 3762 Front St, Barnum, MN .
