Obituary of Lgene Lowell Rosemore

Lgene Lowell Rosemore, 83, of Floodwood, Minnesota passed away on January 21st, 2024, at Ecumen Lakeshore, Duluth. He was born to Fred and Mary Rosemore on August 15th, 1940, in Yankton, South Dakota. He married Dorothy Zipoy on November 2nd, 1957, and had four sons and one daughter.

Lgene was a jack of all trades working several jobs through his lifetime from logging, farming, construction, to driving the first trucks for Halvor Lines and eventually teaching the truck driving course at Lake Superior College. Lgene shared his love for fishing, hunting, and the feasts of fish and wild game that followed with his family for many years. He enjoyed hearing stories of his family’s adventures with an incredible ability to recall even the smallest details long after. He loved watching professional and college sports with unwavering support for all the Minnesota teams.

 He is survived by his children, Michelle (Ron) Myrvold, Jeffrey (Nancy), Randy (Vicky), Steven (Nora), and daughter-in-law Rae; Grandchildren, Ben (Callie Johnson), Lindsey, Jacob (Tori) Myrvold, Julie (Loren) Heine, Jason Myrvold, Meghan Wylie (Doug Abbattista), Eric, Josh (Melissa), Ryan, Brittany (Riley) Swenson, Krystal (Jesse) Sprint, Felicia (Jodiah) Andresen, ShanaLee (Matty) Sharits, Amanda (Dan Docherty), Evan (Angel), and Bethany; Great-Grandchildren, Chloe, Christopher, Aiden, Mya Myrvold, Marlin Heine, Meiko Heine, Ellie Wylie, Camille Wills, Kiaya, Jackson, Jasmine, Jayme, Jacob, Owen Svoboda, Sylis Svoboda, Gamble Swenson, Paxtyn Swenson, Oliver Sprint, Kaylee Sharits, Raife Sharits, and June; Great-Great-Grandchild Emry Stumphf; sibling Verna (Galen) Krantz; and sister-in-laws Arlean, Kathy Postal, Pat Mikrot, and Susie Eskuri.

 Lgene was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; son, Donald; grandchild, Brooke; and siblings, Wayne, Ralph, Jim (Judy), Frances (Gordy) Eggen, and Donna (Milo) Eggen; and brother-in-laws Raymond Mikrot, Bob Postal, Tom Mikrot, and Don Eskuri.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the ALS Association, 1300 Wilson Blvd Suite 600, Arlington , VA 22209.

Visitation: 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service in Hope Lutheran Church, 401 Hwy 73, Floodwood, MN on Thursday, January 25th, 2024. Luncheon will follow the Funeral Service in the Floodwood Event Center 201 W 7th St, Floodwood, MN. Burial will be at Hope Lutheran Cemetery in the spring.
