We were so sad to hear about Uncle Charlies passing. Please know that we will really miss seeing him at any future family reunions. He always reminded me of dad. Jan even kidded him and said she was his dad as I recall. Please accept our deepest smpathies for your loss.

Uncle Charlie always had a kind word for everyone. I never seen him angry. He will be sadly missed. It's still hard to believe he's gone, but even where he is now, there is one thing I am sure of; "He's still Farming!"

"Uncle Charlie" as i called him, was always busy with something, but he always had time for coffee and conversation with the family. He was always a joy to talk to and always looked at the good side of everything, there never seemed to be a bad thing in charlie's eyes. He will be missed very very much, although he will be watching over us all from above. "Thanks for all the great memories Uncle Charlie, You will always have a place in our hearts."

Charlie and his family will remain in our thoughts and prayers. Charlie used to hay a field in front of our house from the time our son was a baby. Each year our son was fascinated by the process and what was going on. From the time he started talking, he asked for a "Charlie tractor" or a "Charlie bailer" or some other "Charlie" piece of equipment, even a "Charlie truck"! A tractor was not good enough; it had to look like Charlie's. He looked forward each year to watching Charlie make hay and he would pull out each piece of the "Charlie" farm toys he had acquired and play with them during the haying season. To this day our son, who is now 9, still pulls out these toys when someone is haying the field and always asks why Charlie isn't making the hay. On one of those hay-making days when our son was two, Charlie alerted Mike that our son had gone out to the busier road which our dead end road connects to. He had evidently decided to follow Mommy who had gone for a bike ride. We are so thankful that Charlie was alert to see this and inform us. We would like to say thanks, Charlie, for the memories and wonderful moments our son has enjoyed playing with his "Charlie" toys, due to Charlie's inspiration.

Uncle Charlie will be missed. I will always remember our trip to St. Louis and all the flowers we brought back home. I know my dad and brothers will remember all the trips to the sale barns with him too. Uncle Charlie was one person I know who never missed a party he was invited to.
My prayers and thoughts are with you all.
