Obituary of Charlie Anton Olesiak

Charlie A.Olesiak, 77 of Wrenshall died Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at his residence as a result of a farm accident. He was born May 9, 1926 in Duluth to Anton and Katherine (Paczinski) Olesiak. Charlie was raised on the family farm and attended school in Brookston. He married Myrtle Moe 1945 and moved from Duluth to Sawyer to raise their family. She passed away in 1984. He then married Clariece Washenesky July 13, 1990. Charlie retired from Atlas Cement in Gary New Duluth and was a dairy farmer for 40 years. He was also a Livestock Dealer. Charlie loved spending time in the hay field, but his main love was his family, especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Myrt; son, Chuck in 1993; special son-in-law, Danny; 4 brothers and 1 sister. Charlie is survived by his wife, Clariece; son, Don "Rumpy" (Carol) of Brookston; daughters, Dar (friend, Don Maki) MacMillan of Atkinson, Claudia (Melvin) Omer of Carlton, Char Foss of Cloquet, Candy (Dan) Homstad of Wright and Joy (Brian) Jones of Sawyer; 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; 5 stepchildren, 7 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren; and sisters, Stella Hill of Florida and Violet (John )Odham of North Carolina. A funeral service was held on Monday, September 15, 2003 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St., Cloquet with Rev. Jerald Dulas officiating. Burial was in Sawyer Cemetery.
