Dear Abby,
We were shocked to hear about your recent tragedy. We can't imagine how difficult it must be for a parent to bury one of their children. . Here, in Virginia, we just buried a 16 year-old boy who was killed in a car accident. Several young men in their 30's have lost their lives up here in just the last two weeks. My wife and I would like to offer our condolences. We want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Ostman family, my sincere sympathy. I had the privilege of having Brian as a student, back in those wonderful days at the Garfield School.(1977-78). I will always remember him as a somewhat shy, but honest, sincere, and thoughtful student who was happy and enjoyed school.
May God be with you all and bless you with wonderful memories and peace. I will keep you all in my prayers.
Sincerely,
Sandra (Sarazin) Nelson

Brian was introduced to me as "a man who always has a smile on his face." That was so true! I never heard him say a bad word about another human being. He was just a sweet, kind man and will be missed by his many, many friends. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family. God Bless all of you.

I met Bob and Kathy in Mpls. at the hospital. They are wonderful people, always checking to see how my brother was. I want them to know that Brian was lucky to have them in his life. Please know that I'll continue to pray for all of you. We'll stay in touch and hopefully meet again under happier circumstances. Some people come into our lives and we are never, ever the same. That's how I feel about Bob and Kathy and their strength and love for Brian and others. God Bless
