With the passing of Aldur, Wright as a community is coming to the end of an era. Who now should sing those old Swedish songs? I will always remember Aldur's magnificent laugh! Our greetings to you the family!

My memories of Aldur will always be of a great neighbor and friend to my dad and mom. He was the "big guy" who could throw bales and drive bus. My sympathy to Betty and the girls especially Gwen.

We were so sorry to hear of the loss of Aldur. I will remember him and Betty in the Cromwell Cafe.....leaving Betty sitting at their table, and coming over.....sitting down, and telling us one of his jokes or two. And they were always a good joke! Spilling much laughter throughout the restaurant. They were always such a cute couple!! Our thoughts, prayers, and sincere sympathy are with you all at this time. Dwight, Kathy, and Ruth Karki

Please accept my deepest condolences at this very sad time. I remember Aldur when Betty worked at the telephone company in McGregor, as well as from other activities in the Wright area. He was well regarded as a soloist at different functions in his community also. My thoughts are with Betty and her family.

Aldur was a kind and generous neighbor. I will remember him for the compassion he showed my wife when she was ill, for the lunches and cribbage games we shared, and for his enthusiasm and knowledge about feeding birds. I loved when he and I drove to his farm and around the area. It seemed he knew everyone in the area. We will miss his humor, seeing him on his pontoon, and riding his 4-wheeler. I hope Aldur's family and friends find solace in this time of loss.

My mother, Julie Renstrom-Hall and I both extend our sincere sympathies to you, Betty, and to your daughters. Neither of us knew Aldur, but mother's time spent at Villa Vista as Betty's roommate was very special. Perhaps sometime in the future we will visit Betty or she may be able to visit mom at the Horizon Home in Barnum.
