A storm come across Lake Superior into Duluth with snow and wind while JoAnn lay in a hospital bed. Watched an ore boat come in and saw another on the horizon. It disappeared behind the snow as it began to fall and I wondered if they would get to port safely. They did about an hour later. The snow was beautiful. Sadly, JoAnn couldn't look out to see it.
JoAnn was sailing off to what we hope is a safe port for her, in God's arms and with those who have gone before.
We will never be able to go on the travels we planned together. Because we went such different ways, our childred don't know each other. I'll miss her greatly. I regret not staying in contact with her all of our adult lives. We got into contact with each other so late. If only...
