I moved out of the area many years ago. I knew Art was getting up there in years and wondered how he was. I
was sad to learn of his passing when I found his obituary today. He carved and crafted Christmas ornaments for us, I put them on my tree every year. Art was a special friend to us for many years. I realize it's been almost 2 years now but I know he will always be missed. Loved his stories, advice and treasure the friendship we had. I really love the pictures posted here.
God Bless his family.

My sympathies to Craig and the entire Buell family. Art was a tremendous person to be around and work with at NALAC. He had a tremendous sense of humor and was always willing to listen to you regardless of what he was doing. He will be greatly missed.

I am sure of one thing...things are different in heaven now! I am one of the many that can call Art a sincerely good friend. We worked across the hall from each other for a long time, he in the supply department and I in the print shop. If NALAC only knew the "shenanigans" that occurred on the lower level! Most instigated by the Master Sergeant himself. One of my favorite pass times was listening to Art's stories of his adventures in the military and of the places he had been...and the reason he became nicknamed "snake". It certainly did not take long for Art to become your friend and confidant. Condolences to Craig and the rest of his family...Woody Newberg

I was sorry to see Art's obituary — even though 94 is a darn good number. My sympathy to Craig and the rest of the family.
During my NALAC years, Art was one of the "good guys" who contributed daily to making 1750 Hennepin a great place to work. Jim Kelso

Oh my goodness I remember Art Buell from the 1970's at NALAC. I was Barbara Solberg in marketing at the time ... now Barb Kirby. Art was wonderful: a gentleman ... a mentor to so many of us, and taught us all so much about business at that time! I am so sorry to hear that he has passed on, but grateful that he has loving family to always remember him!

"And if I go, while you're still here… know that I live on, vibrating to a different measure behind a thin veil you cannot see through. You will not see me, so you must have faith. I wait for the time when we can soar together again, both aware of each other. Until then, live your life to the fullest and when you need me, just whisper my name in your heart, ...I will be there." - Emily Dickinson
I have very few memories of my Great Grandpa Art, but I do remember a consistent feeling I had when I went to visit him as a child. Love. Whenever I was with him I was surrounded by the people I cared for just breathing the same air as them. I imagine moments like those are what everyone's referring to when they talk about "the good old days."
I would also like to take a moment to thank my Aunt, Kathi Buell. I am grateful for the efforts she has made these last few weeks to make Grandpa Art comfortable and the years of service her and her family have provided him. It has comforted my family greatly to know that you were with him and that he wasn't alone. Thank you.

I met Art at the Elmwood. He pulled up in his white mustang cobra and I proceeded to compliment him on his beautiful car. It was the first day of many years of friendship. He was like a grandfather to my boys and we cherish the many memories we made. Thanks for the laughs- you will be missed.

My grandfather was a great swimmer. He helped me learn to swim and I swim team for many years in my youth. I've taught my own children to swim and dozens of others too. Everytime I take to the water I think of him, his gift of teaching me to love the water and the blessing of sharing it with others.
